Noor comes to DC today for one night and one night only! I cannot contain my excitement. Furthermore, this might be the last time I get to see her for a year and a half, and that makes me 1) happy that she's here, 2) panicked that we can't fit all there is to do into one night, and 3) sad because I'll miss her dearly. Some of our most fun times were when we lived in the same little house where I live now... George, Noor, and I were the original tenants. Noor introduced me to chocolate chip pancakes at Eastern Market on Saturday mornings. Emma, Noor, and I went and watched airplanes take off and then proceeded to behave like airplanes at Gravelly Point this time last year.

Well, anyway, we're going back to Gravelly Point for airplanes round 2, and of course there will be some quality time at Union Pub this evening with friends. There might even be some
chicken and cucumbers. Mmmmmmm.
I love it when friends come to visit.

ReplyDeleteI had a fabulous time with you, Beery, but it was kind of bittersweet because I know it will be a long time before we see each other again. But like I said before, I love that we can barely see each other in a whole year and get together like it's been no time at all :)
